About Lynco Grinding

Over 75 Years in the Making

Lynco Grinding, a legacy forged in the industrious spirit of Harold Hogarth who, upon returning from World War I, laid the foundation of our company in 1947 on the cusp of Lynwood and Compton, CA. With a humble beginning in his garage, Harold set in motion a single centerless grinder powered by a Model T motor, under the helm of a control system of his own invention. His ingenuity didn’t stop there; when an avid fisherman envisioned a revolution in crafting fishing rod blanks, Harold patented a novel method allowing his grinder to taper grind a mandrel, marking the advent of the first fiberglass fishing rod blanks.

This spark of innovation ignited a beacon for manufacturers in the burgeoning composites industry, propelling Lynco into a realm of diverse tooling solutions for the aerospace, recreation, and medical sectors. The journey of growth and innovation seamlessly transitioned through the hands of Harold’s son Wayne in 1978, whose vision for embracing emerging materials like carbon fibers and thermal plastics, propelled Lynco to become a vanguard in composite tooling manufacturing. His patented processes continue to reverberate through the industry, embodying the essence of practical innovation.

As the torch passed on to Wayne's son, Justin, the zeal to propel Lynco to loftier pinnacles of success led to an infusion of modernization and expansion. Adding new facilities, broadening capabilities, and securing aerospace certifications, Justin has sculpted a fresh perspective into a 75-year-old firm that now boasts a gamut of offerings including flight parts production, state-of-the-art fabrication facility, full CNC capabilities, and large diameter turning. With an ever-evolving suite of services, Lynco stands poised to scale and cater to the growing needs of a diverse and expanding clientele. Our mission remains rooted in solving complex machining challenges with innovative solutions, honoring the legacy of ingenuity while nurturing enduring partnerships with our patrons.

Our dedication to employee satisfaction has fostered a culture of excellence that is reflected in the high quality of our precision-engineered solutions.
